We’re having fun! We started a campaign called Change for Compassion. This will be a competition between classes to raise money for a well through Compassion International. We are going to have a booth in I-Fest with a fund raising game. We are going to have containers in the elementary classrooms so that the elementary kids can donate. Christian designed the logo! Hee Sun made the Monday folder flyers! Lucas made the note to send the teachers before chapel! Yoon Soo helped make the whole keynote! We are being enthusiastic about our ideas and it will be fun to see who wins the competition. We have also been working on the final night’s  Exhibition!! keynote. Christian will be working on the Comic Life and skit for action! Lucas is doing the human rights part for the keynote!

Week 11 - By T.L.A.S.I.

Today, our group finish typing our note cards and editing too. We worked on the Keynote for fund raising for next week. We now understand that the fund raising presentation will go well. We used cooperation skills by cooperating with our group to rehearsal the presentation for High and Middle School. “Today is a good day,” In Wook said.

Week 10 - By Fantastic Four

We talked about the word donor; the person who donates.  It sounds like doughnut and loner. We made outlines and we made posters like part 1.2.3  We typed out things about the 6 missions from Food Force the game made by the WFP to help teach about what they do in real life.  We brainstormed about what we can do to help TCIS know about WFP.  We thought we might do a comic on Comic Life and put it in the newspaper so more people might know about what WFP does and try to help it.

Week 9 - By Awesome Exhibition Ninjas

This week we were not able to finish our goals so we made different and deeper goals. This week we outlined most of the information and sources that we wrote down on our note cards, we were not able to found much things about ‘What is Compassion International?’ and human rights questions. Our goals were to feel in the big holes that we found during mentor meeting. We also had a interview with Mr. Dewey on Skype. Heesun wrote the notes, Yoon Soo did Garage Band, We all asked questions and Christian was sick.

Week 8 - By Love&Peace

On week 8, we were able to take a lot of notes by cooperating. We shared our journals and then we worked hard together. Our goals were to talk about/set out donation boxes, take more notes/transfer our interview notes on to note cards, finish week 7 blog reflection, and to wear our badges to school. Our group was able to finish most of our goals, but we couldn’t reach the goal of setting our donation boxes out. We also need to send another mail to Mr. MacCormack, and finish our thank you letter to Save the Children Korea. We had some questions like When can we interview the President of Save the Children and How can we get the group moving on?  Will the Skype interview give different information than the one in person?

After we finished sharing our journals, we started research. We were able to do lots of things. Our goals this week are to work on donation boxes, send email to the President of the American Save the Children Mr.MacCormack, finish blog reflection, meet on chat, and take more notes. When we work on this we chat with each other so that goal was pretty easy to accomplish.

Week 7 - By T.L.A.S.I.

This week, our goals were to do our interview with the doctor and the O’Neill’s and then take notes on it. We achieved this goal by taking more than 15 note cards. Some of our questions are about  how we are going to give? Tatiana quotes “ This week was exhausting but it was worth it because we wrote so many note cards.” We felt so good because Mr. Loeber said “You guys are doing Great!”!

Week 6 - By Fantastic Four

In Week 4, we researched about WFP. Our question are What does malnutrition do to the body? Why rice? Why 10 grains of rice? Who started WFP? Why and When? How does WFP help people? How does WFP get rice to kids? Where in the world are people the most hungry? WHY? During our meeting we got to eat Cheddar cheese popcorn and Demi Soda. So Delicious! :) We skimmed the site and we made our questions deeper.

Week 5 - By Awesome Exhibition Ninjas

In week 5 we started making note cards and we organized our source cards. We made a google doc to keep our questions and sources. Yoon Soo found almost all of the sources. We might be going on a field trip to Seoul, where there is a Compassion HQ. Our  goal was to research a source that we were assigned. We all are enjoying organizing our project.

Week 4 - By Love & Peace

This week Hannah and Espen came up with a way to help people. We decided to make donation boxes! So Hannah made a donation box and put ten thousand won in it. We were proud of ourselves for coming this far of the process. Mr. Zickefoose liked our thinking skills and told us we could make the boxes this week. We got excited about collecting money and donating it to save someone! We decided to save up for a well for a poor family somewhere. This made us feel good and happy. Espen’s dad came in to be a guest speaker on the Peace Corps. Our goal was to look for Save The Children sources and make source cards. We also have to make questions for our research. The meeting worked out very well.

Week 3 - By T.L.A.S.I.

We did the Simulation game of the Human Rights that was about schooling, bank, hospital, and the toilet. Lukas’ says “The simulation has been one of my favorite activity's this far!”Our goals was to choice the human right and organization. We talked with our group to choose our organization. And we Did! Our organization is Kotiala Woman's and Children Hospital. That organization is about the hospital that to help the women’s when they had a baby. We had the conflict when we chose the organization. In Wook said that he want to do Amnesty. Tatiana said she would like to learn more about Compassion International. However we were open minded to our group by letting them to choose Kotiala Organization.
